How can I book my child in for two trial sessions?

Please fill in our online form here. Alternatively, you can call 07889 521497 or email hello@lilley-lovett.org

How many children are in the Lilley Lovett Theatre Group?

We have a maximum of 22 children in all our sessions except Little Lilley Lovetts which is limited to 10 children.

Can I stay with my child during the session?

We understand that your child might be nervous or shy during the first few sessions and we will be patient and flexible with them while they settle. For trial sessions, we do ask that parents wait outside or return at the end of the session when we will make time to talk to you and answer any questions you might have. Once your child is enrolled, please drop them off and pick them up promptly after each session.

How will I know how my child is getting on?

We welcome regular contact with parents/carers and we will happily speak to you at any time about how your child is progressing. We will usually be available at the end of the sessions for a brief chat, but please do get in touch if you would prefer a more detailed discussion so we can arrange a convenient time.

What does my child need to wear?

Children should bring or wear trainers, although they will often be working barefoot during sessions. They should wear comfy clothes which they are able to move in. Layers are recommended as the children might get hot during some sessions. Long hair must be tied back.

What should my child bring to the sessions?

Children should bring a bottle of water and any snacks required to each session. We suggest that children do not bring valuables to the sessions as we cannot be held responsible if anything goes missing or gets broken.

What if my child can’t attend one week?

We do encourage regular attendance and commitment throughout the term so that we can help your child to develop and they can feel part of the team. However, we realise that there will be unavoidable times when your child is unable to join us. All we ask is that you let us know by text (07889 521497) or by email (hello@lilley-lovett.org) as early as possible so that we can plan the sessions accordingly.

What if my child decides to leave Lilley Lovett Theatre Group

We obviously hope that your child will enjoy every moment of their time with Lilley Lovett, but we understand that interests change or children might need to leave for other reasons. We ask that you give us six week’s written notice, so we can offer the place to another child. You will be obliged to pay for any sessions which fall within the six week period, even if your child does not attend those sessions.

What safeguarding measures do you have in place?

Lilley Lovett Theatre Group leaders are all DBS checked.

What if my child injures themselves during a session?

Ruth and Claude are both first aid trained. If your child is unwell or has an accident during a session, we will get in touch with you using the main or emergency contact details you have provided. Please make sure that these contact numbers are kept up to date. If we are unable to contact anyone, your child will be given whatever medical attention is deemed appropriate, including being transported to hospital if necessary.

What if I have more questions?

We hope that we have covered everything you will need to know, but if you have any other questions, please feel free to get in touch via the website, call 07889 521497 or email hello@lilley-lovett.org and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
